L3-5 Music: Diplomas in Production and Creative Recording
The level 3 two year programme provides students with a range of broad experiences and skills to prepare for working in the music industry and for progression to higher education. In its diagnostic stage, exploring potential in composition, performance, recording and production are combined with intensive work with different technologies, equipment and software. In addition to this, students study the music industry in some depth, This enables each student to identify and pursue his or her chosen specialism, whilst still having a broad overview. As well as acquiring broad and relevant skills and insights into the music profession, students gain very valuable broader skills in team based working. Some students pursue careers in the music industry on leaving this programme, whilst others progress to the Foundation Degree (University of Brighton), all at the Eastbourne campus. This area is very well equipped with industry standard facilities and excellent technical know how.
Students electing to progress to higher education can join the two year foundation degree which leads to the University of Brighton FdA in Music Production and Creative Recording, a unique programme which explores the development of broad skills and insights in recording, audio-visual work, and developing a working understanding of the music industry.
