BTEC Performing Arts Programmes
These courses provide a fantastic and predominantly practical route into the performing arts. With a focus on real productions right from the outset, you will play your part in the day to day work of what is effectively a small theatre company. Whether you're writing, producing, directing, designing, performing, constructing sets, organising and making costume, stage managing, sound engineering, lighting, recording or promoting, you will gain fantastic skills, insights and experience this creative and team based industry.
You can study from a range of pathways (use the links below to see prospectus information).
In addition to gaining knowledge and skills in your own specialism (and a deeper insight into the immense value of the performing arts) you will also develop the crucial transferable skills which lie at the heart of employability, especially those of planning, organisation, project management, multitasking, confidence, resiliance, teamwork, research, analysis, and excellent communication skills. Because of this, students progress from this area to a range of destinations both in higher education and employment.
